Bingo Fundraising Sub-Committee

To help offset our operating costs, we help run community bingo nights in in exchange for some of the monies that are raised. Headed up by our Bingo Administrator, Fred Noseworthy, the Bingos play a vital role in helping finance the band.

Sponsorship Sub-Committee

Faced with declining bingo revenues, we now have a committee which is actively seeking out sponsors for the band.

Scholarship Sub-Committee

Note: Unfortunately due to declining revenues from our fundraising bingos, we have had cancel our scholarship program until further notice. We hope to soon have new sponsors in place, so we can again offer these scholarships.

Each year, the band gives out a number of scholarships to promising young musicians that attend the local high schools. In memory of former conductor, Frank Gadd (deceased 1970), the Kilties give out the The Galt Kiltie Band Frank Gadd Memorial Award to a deserving grade 13 music student at each of the five local high schools. Also, in memory of former conductor Ken Dearlove, the Ken Dearlove Memorial Scholarship is given out each year. These scholarships are awarded by the Scholarship sub-Committee from within the band.
